The internship program provides undergraduate and beginning graduate students a chance to work among national park staff and partners to help find solutions to the unique challenges of climate change. These opportunities are designed to complement and enhance the intern's formal education through hands-on experience, and introduce them to the National Park Service as a potential place to make a career. Through the intern's work, parks are able to understand, adapt, mitigate, and communicate about climate change.
